Clarity as a Business Strategy

Clarity by definition is the quality of being clear…so much has been written about clarity that the word itself has become a buzz word among the success gurus.

But have you considered clarity as a business strategy?

Eons ago, during my corporate career, I developed a process I refer to as destination planning. It started out as strategic planning but that seemed really boring. Destination planning sounded so much more fun and I had a number of travel and tourism industry clients so it seemed appropriate.

Here's a brief description of the 4-stage, process-based destination planning system with clarity as the foundational strategy for success.

Clarity–> Focus–> Action–> Destination

Clarity of purpose and vision

The first stage in achieving anything is to clearly define what you want, where you want to go, who you want to be, what you want to have, and how you are going to do it. You must be specific right down to the smallest detail. Write it down, add to it and develop it as you build and grow your business.

Clarity of purpose and vision is important in any achievement. However, clarity alone has little value but when paired with laser focus and decisive action, anything is possible.

Laser focus

Laser focus on your destination provides a measuring stick against which to make decisions. By knowing and focusing exactly where you are going, it becomes easy to ignore distractions and to just say no when offers come along that could take you off course.

Decisive action

You must do something for anything to happen. All too often, entrepreneurs get clear about what they want but do not take the action necessary to fulfill their purpose or vision. The Law of Attraction is called into play when you take action - often inspired action. Quick, decisive action will move you forward toward the things on which you focus.

Destination arrival

The last stage is reaching your destination.

By following this 4-stage process, you can achieve whatever you want faster and with less effort than.
