Internet Marketing in Recessionary Times

I was just shopping in a locally-owned fabric shop - yes I do love fabrics and designing home dec items in my spare time.  The shop owner was telling me about how their business had dropped off by 45% almost overnight and that they are on the verge of bankruptcy. I was the second person to come into the store today and my purchase probably didn't cover the electric bill for the day. A couple of months ago, this store was always busy and full of customers.

This reminded me of how depended some businesses are on the local economy.  And, how fortunate internet marketers are. We are able to reach across community, state and country lines to market our businesses, to work online together, and to support a global economy.  And, in doing so, we are somewhat insulated from the current recessionary economy.

As online marketers, we are truly blessed.
